The guy who started it all. Flame was been in my life for 25 years. I'm 98% sure Flame had everything to do with me wanting to make the move to my own farm! It was all because of this guy (plus, since I was a little girl, I never dreamed of my wedding but always dreamed of my farm). He turned 30 in July (2020) and is enjoying his retirement out in the field with his friends. Flame passed away July of 2021.
Flame needed a buddy when he first moved to the farm in 2016. Disco arrived a day later than Flame. Disco was acquired through Flying Changes Equine Rescue. Disco and Flame quickly became BFFs. Disco was the perfect trail horse and my "Steady Eddy". We could go out on a trail in a halter and bareback and he was so awesome. We lost Disco in June 2020 to colic. He was so amazing and gone too soon.
Who doesn't need a horse named after Sheriff Buford T. Justice. Okey Doke. Here's Buford aka Buffy, Buff Buff, Boop-a-doo, Puff, Pufford..... (don't we all have a million nicknames for our animals?)
My mom has always been fascinated with Bashkir Curly Horses. Since I was a little girl, I always remember her talking about them. We made that dream a reality when we were adding to the farm. He is such a cool horse and forever will have the nickname "Baby" no matter how old he is!
We got Hidden Cave Quinn at 8 months old from an amazing Curly Horse breeder in Kentucky. Check out Hidden Cave Ranch Curly Horses.
Needed another Arabian added to the mix. And, get a gray horse, they say.... The sweetest, in your pocket, filthy swamp creature you will ever meet. I promise gray or light colored horses know that they are prone to mud and manure stains. Just sayin'. Love you Oats.
The Goats... Such a quirky and hilarious addition to the farm. Ollie (solid) and Finn (Tri-colored). These two keep everyone who meets them laughing CONSTANTLY!
I love birds! There are 30 something hens and a pair of guinea fowl running around here. I have become kind of a crazy chicken lady...
